A graduate of NIFT Delhi, Surbhi Chawla, was keen on studying European fashion the way it is worn on the streets and to have a closer look she studied fashion in Napoli, Italy for six months and experienced the impeccable Italian style and tailoring. As a part of the prestigious Istituto Superiore di Design, Italy , she got selected to showcase her collection at ALTAROMALTAMODA July'07 Rome where her designs were greatly respected and applauded. She started her career under designer Ashish N Soni and then launched her label, Surbhi Chawla, in 2008 which is a confluence of old school classicism and young, exuberant, fearless sensibilities of design catering to the contemporary international pret market. A collection based on an 'optical perspective' exhibits a variety of intensive weaving techniques, hand crafted textures, mentally stimulating color play and beautiful drapes.
